Old Down Manor Wedding Photography
Chris & Amy Wedding Photography at Old Down Manor Estate
As a wedding photographer based half way between Bristol and Bath in the little village of Bitton, it’s a relatively short hop from my home to Old Down Manor a wedding venue based in a little place called Tockington North of Bristol.
I would have travelled a lot further to shoot this wedding for Chris and Amy. I first met these guys a couple of years ago when they booked me to shoot their wedding. We went out for an engagement shoot shortly after, which was great fun and I’ve been looking forward to shooting the wedding ever since because they were so so so relaxed about their wedding.
The wedding reception held at Old Down Manor followed a church ceremony at St John’s in Chipping Sodbury. And here’s a little tip for you – church weddings generate more photographs than weddings performed at one venue for a few reasons; there are more venues so people have more time to mill about in the church yard and at the reception. There’s also the wedding car, or wedding transport element, this wedding had a great alternative to a wedding car. Amy and Chris opted for a vintage double decker bus, which was another interesting thing to photograph.
So, great couple, lovely guests, cool transport and a stunning venue are great for a wedding photographer but it gets better. This couple DIYed the hell out of their wedding, Amy made the wedding cake and their rings, while Chris got to work on the table decorations, which were themed around the board game concept. Each table had an individually themed table, which went down an absolute storm with their guests.
Anyway, enjoy the pictures and get in touch if you’d like me to come to your wedding and take some photographs like these.
