Family Photography Session Keynsham Park (between Bristol & Bath)
All the family stuff is done, Christmas and New Year have passed and all the family gatherings are over, until the next birthday, wedding or whatever. You’re probably relieved to have your life back, to do what you want to do without intrusion from the in-laws or distant relatives.
However, if you’ve got a young family you’ll want to cherish the time you get to spend together, especially because your children grow up so quickly. To help preserve the memories of all stages of the family growth and child development, photography plays a crucial role. You really do want to crack out your camera as often as possible to record all the moments shared with your kids, husband or wife.
There will also be times when you’ll want to record these moments with the help from a professional photographer to get some extra special pictures to hang on the wall or as part of an album. To often this involves a trip to a studio with everybody posing before a white background. Don’t get me wrong, studio shots are fine but they don’t age very well. I prefer family shots that are taken at home or on a day out somewhere instead of a plain background, your lives and experiences form the backdrop of your photographs – framing your memories for years to come.
That’s exactly what happened in December when I visited a young family at home in Keynsham (between Bristol & Bath) for an alternative family photo session. I started by taking pictures of them around the house before heading out to a local park to feed the ducks and play on the swings. In addition to receiving an album filled with lovely pictures everybody had a great day out too (including me).
Have a look at the pictures – I hope you like them.
