Autumn & Winter Wedding Flowers
Here’s a little inspiration for anybody thinking about wedding flowers. These beauties are winter inspired so super relevant if you’re getting married this time next year but they’re so pretty that they’re worth a look all the same. You’ll also see some pretty little accessories too.
I have previously showed these images on OffToWed.com but I like them so much that I thought I’d share them here too. Originally, I wanted to photograph and blog about autumn winter flowers so I spoke to wedding florists Wild About Flowers Keynsham to see what they would recommend for this time of year. As you can see, it doesn’t have to be summer in order to exhibit beautiful blooms – the selection of flowers offered up by this Bristol & Bath based florist are amazing.
The colours might not be as bright and vibrant as those in June or July but you could argue that they’re more interesting. This subtle colour palette is rich and with the different textures offered up in the bouquets you really do get a feel for the season. As we start layering up with our fashion choices autumn and winter feels like much more sophisticated seasons and that’s exactly how I’d describe these flowers – stylish and cultured botany.
And look at the accessories. Copper vases, wire copper baskets and cute little glass bottles acting as vases. Autumn winter styling has a grandness to it that allows for touches of opulent styling and whatever season you choose to get married you should be thinking about the feelings that particular season invokes, the styles that are specific to that time. Of course you’re limited to the flowers that are available during any given season but when speaking to a wedding florist don’t just go to them armed with a list of your favourite flowers see what they recommend, how they would style your wedding and its season.
